Click Here To See Where We Have Cooked

We've had a little recovery time, so here is the Terlingua update.

We spent over a week on the road and had some well-deserved vacation time. We spent a couple of days at Big Bend National Park before driving over to the Terlingua International Chili Championship. Kim and I both cooked this year, but without much success. We had a good time, spent time with some old friends and met alot of new friends as well.

The 1st Tequila Rose BBQ Cookoff was successful with 33 entrants from many different states. Those chili cooks really know how to run a bbq cookoff. All the ladies in the judging area made a busy day run smoothly. Thanks to Connie, Barbara, Karen, Kathy and Gail. And especially thanks to Kim!

Click HERE for all the pictures we either took or stole from other friends. There are a few cook videos too, if I figure out how to load them.

I am compiling a cookoff email list. It will be used to promote some cookoffs. If you would like to be included on this list, please email Kelly and put ADD TO EMAIL LIST in the subject or body of the email. The list will be dedicated to BBQ  and cookoff issues, with no spam, jokes or items for sale. The list will NOT be sold, leased, rented or bartered. You will have the option to have your name removed at any time as well. To be added, email Kelly here.

We had a great bunch of cookers and musicians. We had hoped for a larger crowd to enjoy the music and great BBQ & chili, but we intend to make it better next year. Thanks to all who did come out and support our event and the community.

Be sure to look through the pictures - you may have been caught by Julie and her camera!
